If these snippets - which are complete stories in themselves - appeal to you, make your way to a workshop conducted by Terribly Tiny Tales at The JamJar Studio in Dubai on Friday, October 27.
The session offers budding and established writers a peek into the evolving world of microfiction, a technique that involves telling a story in less than 50 words. The tales, themselves, span various genres - from drama and romance to horror and tragedies.
The workshop will also offer tips on writing and feedback for your own "tiny tale".This is the first international class hosted by the India-based writing platform.
The event is from 6pm to 8.30pm and costs Dh100, including a beverage and a starter. Click here to register, or call 04 341 7303. The JamJar is at Alserkal Avenue at Al Quoz 1 in Dubai.
