Don’t miss the UAE’s first glow in the dark art exhibition happening tonight (April 13) in Nation Towers, Abu Dhabi.
German-born American artist Tomyboy has painted portraits of icons such as Marilyn Monroe, Michael Jackson, Bob Marley, and Rihanna using fluorescent paint that will go on show in Le Vault, a boutique selling artistic pieces and furniture.
The artist, who also goes by the name of Rocketbyz, began his career as a music producer and his art will be placed alongside other objects such as a Harley Davidson bike, a Rolex watch and a piano.
Samer Mashal, the managing director of Le Vault says: “I was truly amazed when I first came across Tomyboy’s work in the USA. On meeting him, I had no doubt in my mind that I had to bring him, and his exemplary ideas and concepts to the UAE. Knowing that nothing of this nature had ever been hosted in the Middle East, it was a privilege to be the first. I am excited to witness people’s response to his work and hope that guests will see be as entranced by his pieces as I was.”
• Le Vault will host the Glow-In-The-Dark exhibition, from 7pm on Wednesday, April 13, at the showroom on the first floor of Nation Towers, Abu Dhabi
