Prepare to be perplexed, a 3D museum of 'trick art' is opening in Dubai later this year. Many UAE residents will be familiar with the Dubai Canvas Festival, an outdoor exhibition of 3D art that runs in Jumeirah Beach Residence annually. Well, the team behind 3D World Dubai is taking it one step further, with an entire museum dedicated to it.

The paintings are created to look three dimensional, so you can pose in front of, or on top of, them and it looks like you're enveloped in the scene. It is Instagram gold.

The interactive art museum already has 155 pieces of art ready ahead of its September opening, and they will be spread across an Animal Kingdom Zone, an Egyptian Zone, a Fantasy Zone and a Water World Zone.

The museum is being opened by Raman Ticku and Schakun Singh, a husband and wife team, who saw a similar project on a trip to Phuket, Thailand.

"We visited more of these in other countries and cities and gathered that what differentiates one such place from another is the quality of the artwork," they explain on Facebook. [It's] quite obvious if you think about it, but then putting together a team who would deliver what we were looking for was not easy – [it was a] herculean task, to put it mildly."

The team of artists behind the murals are also available for privately commissioned projects.

There is no word yet on exactly where it will be located, but the artwork on show will range from regional cuisine, to celebrated movie moments and adorable animals. On the museum's Instagram you can see some of the artworks taking shape.
