On the occasion of Ramadan, Capsule Arts have released a new limited edition set of artistic prints by Emirati artist Khalid Mezaina. I love the way Mezaina combines graphic drawings with items you would normally expect to see drenched in tradition and this series is no different.
Porta Mosque is inspired by the temporary mosques that can be found across the UAE, from the construction sites of Dubai to the wadis of Fujairah. These makeshift structures have been a long-standing feature of Islamic architecture in the Emirates.
