Occupied Pleasures: Stories from Palestine, a kickstarter project

  • English
  • Arabic

"Pleasure is also a form of resistance." This is one of my favourite quotes from Tanya Habjouqa, a friend and hugely talented photographer whose series Occupied Pleasures, captures the absurdity, joy, sadness and normality of every day life in Palestine. She is part Jordanian, part American and married to a Palestinian. The series was exhibited in Dubai's East Wing gallery in May last year and since then, she has started a kickstarter campaign to turn her work into a book, infused with poetry by Najwan Darwish.

Help her make this a reality by supporting the project here.
