A student at New York University Abu Dhabi has launched a website that attempts to help people understand art from around the world. Sophie Arni created Global Art Daily as a neutral, non-commercial, informative platform for comprehending contemporary art today, which cannot be confined to national boundaries anymore. The website is in part, her own art criticism journal and also a fount of information about art in cities all over the world. Living on the NYUAD campus on Saadiyat Island and witnessing the emergence of Abu Dhabi’s cultural hub, Arni has also written fairly extensively on the capital - proposing her own views on what the future of Abu Dhabi as an art capital should look like.
