Warehouse 421 has teamed up with Abu Dhabi Art to put on an event to make buying art easier and more accessible for the general public. For Galleries Week, they have enrolled six galleries - three from the UAE and three from abroad - to showcase several works in a week long exhibition where prices will start from as low as Dh2000.

Spearheaded by Dyala Nusseibeh, the new director at Abu Dhabi Art the idea is to remove some of the barriers currently attached to buying art. “Acquiring art can be intimidating, especially for first-time buyers,” she says. “We want to get rid of the unfamiliarity with the process of buying a work or hesitancy when asking a gallery to explain the work of their artists. We are thrilled to be collaborating with Warehouse421 on this initiative as they already play such a key role in providing an educational platform for the arts.”

The participating galleries are Athr Gallery and Hafez Gallery from Jeddah; Cuadro Fine Art Gallery from Dubai; Elmarsa Gallery, a Tunisian gallery with a branch in Dubai; Salwa Zeidan Gallery from Abu Dhabi and Galleria Continua, an international outpost with branches in Italy, France, China, and Cuba.

Galleries Week will run from April 12- 19 and will also include series of educational workshops and events for diverse audiences as well as a performance and a film screening.
