Lebanese artist Mona Nahleh is a literature graduate and sees every painting as telling a story. Her latest body of work, Letters from the 5th Dimension goes on show at The Workshop gallery next week.
“My paintings have always been about human beings and the human condition,” she says. “I see the human form as a malleable receptacle of energy; one that is capable of manifesting endless possibilities. In this exhibition, I seek to represent people not as they know themselves, through the density of the three-dimensional world, but rather through reference to the subtle beauty and peace of the fifth dimension.” She describes this dimension as another reality of beauty, peace and bliss.
There are 20 paintings on show in the new gallery space, that encompasses the former Fann A Porter gallery that was in Kempinski hotel. Mona Nahleh’s work will be on show from January 11 - February 4 at The Workshop, Villa 45, Street 23B, off Al Wasl Rd, Jumeriah 2 in Dubai.
