These ink paintings calligraphic pieces by Chinese artist Shi Dachan will be on show in two different venues in the UAE.
The exhibition titled Great Ink Opens New Era - Tongxi Civilisation contains work that people in the UAE will relate to because, according to the artist, “Chinese calligraphy is very similar to Arabic calligraphy when it comes to attention to detail and accuracy. With increased interest from ink calligraphy lovers, it was only time before we ventured into the Middle East region to strengthen cultural ties with art lovers from the GCC and Levant,” says Dachan.
The show runs at Emirates Palace, Abu Dhabi from September 29 –October 2 and at St. Regis Hotel, Dubai from October 5-7.
