While diamonds might still be a girl’s best friend, there’s one thing that reigns supreme for women of the Middle East. According to a survey filled out by 10,000 Middle Eastern women, a shopping trip yields the highest level of happiness when it involves a new handbag.
The survey — conducted by Conia.net — focused on the shopping habits of women around the region. Also revealed was that women tend to be more content with higher quality products, particularly as shoppers become more fashion savvy.
High on the list of ten items were also shoes, abayas and jewellery. Lower down the list were gadgets, headscarves and flowers, with fewer shoppers saying these purchases made them happy.
Do you agree with the findings? Are handbags the best way to increase your happiness factor when shopping or are you more swayed by other purchases? Have your say in the comments below.
