Attendees at Huawei Arab Fashion Week this weekend entered into the carnival spirit for the runway show of Emirati designer Lamya Abedin.

Held at Dubai’s Meydan Racecourse, the industry event is celebrating ‘ready-couture’ with presentations from local, regional and international designers until Monday evening.

Abedin, founder of the label Queen of Spades, revealed her range of gala fête-inspired gowns for ladies in a collection dubbed Le Voyage du Carnaval.

Oversized, off-the-shoulder white dresses were teamed with harlequin socks and Pierrot hats, while black velvet gowns with patchwork peplums were accessorized with floral garlands and cameo chokers.

Flick through our sideshow of the show, the pieces from which are now available to buy online here.
