Alexander McQueen, Elie Saab and Roland Mouret are just some of the big names included in Net-a-porter's capsule collection of gowns, exclusive to Middle East customers. The long-sleeved, floor-length numbers are quintessentially Middle Eastern, appealing to a market where conservative silhouettes, eye-catching styles and prestigious fashion labels thrive. The six-piece range of dresses comes just in time for the festive season, and will appeal to a range of shoppers — from those seeking floaty, feminine designs, to those on the lookout for more structured glamour.

“Our Middle Eastern customers are polished and sophisticated with a penchant for statement gowns, so launching a dedicated capsule ahead of the wedding season was an absolute must,” said Lisa Aiken, Net-a-porter’s retail fashion director. “We chose designers who are continuously bestsellers in the market and we worked closely with them to design something special that we know our customers in the market will just love.”

Elie Saab’s contribution is an ethereal sea-blue caped gown with a beaded shoulder piece, and Alexander McQueen’s offering is a pale pink dress with a princess neckline, tulle high neck and blouson sleeves, and embellished belt. From Dolce & Gabbana, customers in the Middle East have the options of elegant lace dresses, lined from the bust-down, in fuchsia or emerald. Etro’s design features the fashion house’s signature bohemian paisley print along the sides of a teal gown with flared sleeves, an embellished belt and V-neckline.

Roland Mouret’s gown will likely appeal to many shoppers, as it looks like the ideal Christmas dinner party dress. In shimmering emerald green with blazer-style lapels and a wrap-front, revealing a hint of leg, we envision this one being a definite best-seller.
