Each year, along with lavish Iftar buffets and sumptuous Suhoor tent offerings, Ramadan in the UAE brings with it exciting fashion from international fashion designers, who take extra steps to cater to their clientele in the Middle East. British luxury label Burberry is no exception, and its latest capsule collection infuses opulence and runway-inspired elements with a timeless, elegant flair.
The limited-edition Ramadan ready-to-wear collection from the brand comprises three lightweight, floor-length evening dresses designed in a monochrome palette with embellishments, lace and contrast panelling details. The Italian-made dresses were worn by British model Eliza Fairbanks for the label’s Ramadan campaign, which was shot here in the Middle East.
In addition to the dresses, Burberry is launching some one-of-a-kind handbags for the Ramadan season. Taking the shape of The Patchwork bag, which was unveiled on the runway this past February at London Fashion Week, each design is named after a particular British town, street or village. The handbags feature a mixture of different patterns, textures, skins and colours, with an oversized gold buckle, as an ode to the label's iconic trench coat. The wide shoulder strap is also crafted in a patchwork style, and can be removed, transforming the purse into a statement clutch.
The Ramadan collection is available on Burberry.com in the Middle East and in select Burberry stores around the world, including the Mall of the Emirates flagship in Dubai.
