For pre-fall 2016, British fashion label Atea Oceanie has teamed up with Leandra Medine, the woman behind the fashion site Man Repeller, to create a limited-edition capsule collection. Boutique 1 has the regional exclusive on the collection, which is sure to resonate with customers who appreciate understated luxury.
Expect to see sleek turtlenecks, slip dresses, collared blouses, wide-leg trousers and fluted skirts, in a nautical colour palette of reds, navy blues and charcoal greys. The separates are easy-to-wear, versatile and ideal for layering. While the clothing may be reflective of Medine’s wardrobe — the blogger is known to wear basic workwear staples before throwing on a handful of quirky accessories, it lacks some of her personal style flair. The brand aesthetic of Atea Oceanie errs more on the side of refined and sophisticated, and we would have loved to see more of Medine’s voice in the collection — an exclusive rendition of one of her signature bandannas perhaps?
