There’s just two days to go before Dubai-based designer Aiisha Ramadan’s autumn-winter collection will be revealed to clients in Paris. From March 4-7, Vendôme Luxury, an organisation which supports emerging designers and showcases their designs at locations around the capital, will stage its next event from Friday to Monday.
“We need people like Carole to support designers” Ramadan said of Vendome Luxury’s founder Carole de Bona, “We have amazing talent here in the region as well as the resources, but we just need people to follow up. That’s where Carole is really great. She has continually supported emerging designers and always believed in them.”
The tradeshow will debut Ramadan’s Senses range, the 34 looks of which span high-end ready-to-wear and couture. The designer’s sculptural pieces were inspired by the five senses of taste, touch, smell, hearing and sight - as well as elements from nature including cherry blossom and rain.
The pieces will also be available to buy online at www.vendomeluxury-paris.com this week and on Aiisha Ramadan's website - as well as UAE stores - in the coming month.
