LONDON // Britain’s Prince William and his wife Kate are expecting their second baby.

The Duchess of Cambridge, the former Kate Middleton, 32, is suffering from very acute morning sickness, as she did in her first pregnancy, Kensington Palace said today.

She is less than 12 weeks pregnant, said a royal spokesman.

The couple’s first child, Prince George, was born in July last year amid a huge international media frenzy.

Prince William’s father, Prince Charles, is the heir apparent to Queen Elizabeth II, who has been monarch since 1952.

Prince William is second in line to the British throne, while Prince George is the third.

The child will be fourth in line. “The Queen and members of both families are delighted with the news that their royal highnesses are expecting their second child,” Buckingham Palace said.

“Many congratulations to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. I’m delighted by the happy news that they’re expecting another baby,” British prime minister David Cameron said on his Twitter feed.
