US president Barack Obama led a delegation of current and former US statesmen to Saudi Arabia on Tuesday to meet King Salman and pay respects following the death of his predecessor King Abdullah.

Air Force One touched down at King Khalid International Airport in the capital Riyadh, arriving from India where Mr Obama cut short a state visit to travel to Saudi Arabia.
