ABU DHABI // A second batch of Yemenis has arrived in the UAE to receive treatment for injuries suffered in their country’s ongoing conflict.
The 30 Yemeni citzens were flown in early on Tuesday morning with the cooperation of the Emirates Red Crescent and the UAE armed forces. They suffer from injuries such as fractures of the head and limbs and amputations, the state news agency Wam reported.
As per the directives of President Sheikh Khalifa and Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, hospitals in the country will provide medical treatment as well as cater to all their needs during their stay.
The first batch of injured Yemenis arrived in the UAE on Wednesday.
