Saudi Arabia has denied reports in Baghdad that Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman is planning to visit Iraq.
On Saturday, an official from the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs hailed the development of bilateral relations between the two countries in all fields.
According to the office of Iraq’s prime minister, Prince Mohammed is due to visit Iraq in the near future, although a date has not been set.
Iraqi Prime Minister Haider Al Abadi went to Riyadh in 2017 after diplomatic ties were restored between the kingdom and Iraq in 2016.
Relations between the two governments have warmed in recent months, with Iraq hosting an international friendly football match between the two nations in Basra in February.
Prince Mohammed is in the United States on a three-week long tour, which has included meetings with President Donald Trump, media mogul Rupert Murdoch and former New York mayor Mike Bloomberg.
