Israel announced on 10 August the stoppage of fuel entry into Gaza Strip after multiple flaming balloons landed in Israeil's territory. According to reports, Gaza Strip's sole functioning power station ran out of fuel and stopped working. The Gaza power Generating Company plant usually operates only eight hours a day, after its fuel crosses into Gaza through the Israeli Kerem Shalom border crossing. Most Palestinians in Gaza Strip use batteries, generators or candles to light their homes. EPA/MOHAMMED SABER
