Ten Emirati members of the Young Future Energy Leaders programme gained insight into Japan’s experience in smart technologies, the Masdar Institute of Science and Technology announced on Wednesday. The programme, organised in collaboration with Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry and the Japan International Cooperation Center in various cities across the country, helped strengthen the members’ knowledge and expertise, while giving them an opportunity to learn from the country’s achievements in technology and sustainability.

“The UAE Government ensures human capital – building remains one of the key focus areas of long-term strategy for economic growth,” said Khaled Al Ameri, Minister Plenipotentiary of the UAE Embassy in Tokyo. “In order to achieve this objective, encouraging and facilitating high-quality individual development of youth would be crucial.”
