Woman dies in RAK house fire; husband and son severely injured

The 57-year-old woman succumbed to her wounds in hospital. Her 62-year-old husband and son, 27, suffered severe injuries.

A woman was killed and her husband and son injured in a fire at a house in Ras Al Khaimah on Sunday.

The woman was 57, her husband 62, and their son, 27.

Brigadier General Abdullah Al Hadidi, RAK deputy police chief, said civil defence teams responded to a report of a house fire at 7.30am.

The casualties were taken to hospital in Dubai where the woman succumbed to her wounds.

Experts are carrying out an investigation to determine the cause of the fire.
