In less than four weeks, the country will once again be united in celebration for National Day – and we want to know what you think.
Parties, fireworks, and flags will help commemorate the historic moment the UAE came into existence 43 years ago, on December 2, 1971.
As well as celebrations, National Day is a time for reflection – to look back on the achievements made and the distance travelled since the Rulers came together under the leadership of Sheikh Zayed, the founding president.
This year, The National is working with world-renowned research company YouGov to find out more about what National Day means to you, Emiratis and expatriates.
We would like you to share your views on everything from the nature of the celebrations, the patriotism you feel, national service and national identity, to your views on the development of the UAE, how the Emirates is viewed overseas, and where the country is heading.
The poll is being carried out face-to-face, across the country, by experts questioning Emiratis and expats. But you too can have your say.
Below is a link to a dedicated online survey, where you can add your voice and join the hundreds others who have already taken part.
