DUBAI // Motorists faced delays on Sunday morning after vehicles caught fire in two separate incidents.

A Toyota minivan burst into flames at about 8.15am on Sunday in Dubai, resulting in heavy congestion. The incident took place on Emirates Road towards Abu Dhabi, near an Enoc petrol station. Dubai Police said there were no injuries.

Another vehicle caught fire on Al Khail Road in Dubai, after Al Maidan Bridge and towards Jebel Ali. The area was cleared and no injuries were reported.

Delays were also reported on the E311, Mohammed bin Zayed Road, near Al Ittihad Road in Al Nahda area from Sharjah to Dubai, police said.

Motorists have been urged to concentrate while driving and to follow traffic rules to avoid accidents.

No traffic delays were reported on Abu Dhabi roads.
