UAE weather: Windy conditions to kick up dust



ABU DHABI // Fresh winds will stir up dust on Sunday morning, creating poor conditions on the roads.

Motorists are advised to reduce speed and leave enough space between vehicles in such conditions.

The National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology said winds will be light to moderate in general.

Winds are expected to reach up to 36kph along the coast and in the interior.

It will be partly cloudy and hazy at times over some areas, while some low clouds will appear over the east.

In coastal areas, temperatures will reach a high of between 39°C and 42°C and a low of 26°C and 31°C.

Further inland, the maximum temperature will be high at 42°C to 47°C, and as low as 25°C to 30°C.

Relative humidity is forecast to reach a maximum of 90 per cent over the coast and over inland areas.

Sea will be slight to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and in the Oman Sea.

Similar weather conditions could prevail over the next couple of days.

Relative humidity will increase during the night and in the early morning, and mist may also form, the centre forecast states.
