Meteorologists warned on Monday that the weather will be partly cloudy with light to moderate winds, with a gradual rise in temperatures.
The National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology also said that humidity will rise during the night and into next morning over the coast, which may result in foggy weather, especially in the western areas.
The Ministry of Interior urged motorists on Monday morning to take extra caution.
“Low visibility due to fog formation [in] different parts in Abu Dhabi and highways,” it said in a tweet.
Coastal areas are expected to have a maximum temperature of 40°C and a minimum of 26 °C, while the interior will see a high of 44°C and low of 22°C.
The lowest temperature recorded in the country was 20°C in Al Wathba at 5.30am.
