ABU DHABI // While red skies veiled the skies of Dubai, heavy showers hit the capital on Tuesday evening.
The country’s weather bureau, the National Centre for Meteorology and Seismology, had said there was a “possibility of rainfall” later in the day and on Wednesday in Tuesday morning’s forecast. The showers left roads busy as motorists commuted home in rainy conditions.
Just last week, heavy rainfall led to dangerous conditions and weather warnings issued around the country.
A mother and her three children died in Ras Al Khaimah after flash flooding in the region’s valleys, leading RAK Police to issue warnings to avoid valleys during the heavy storms.
