The warning is in effect until Tuesday morning.

Meanwhile, on land, north-westerly wind speeds are expected to reach between 20 to 30km/h, with gusts up to 45km/h.

Windy conditions will be accompanied by falling temperatures and fair to partly cloudy skies, according to the NCM.

Highs will reach between 20°C and 24°C along the coast, 22°C to 26°C in the interior and 15°C to 20°C in the mountains.
