DUBAI // Hazy and very hot weather is expected across the country on Monday.
Partly cloudy skies are forecast over some areas, including the eastern and southern parts of the UAE.
On Sunday afternoon, heavy rainfall and strong winds were reported along Mleiha Road in Sharjah.
The National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology said there may be rain over eastern and southern areas in the next couple of days.
Light to moderate winds are expected to freshen conditions at times but may also pick up dust and sand, causing reduced visibility.
The sea will become rough at times in the Arabian Gulf and Sea of Oman with wind speed expected to reach 40km per hour at times along the coast.
Maximum temperatures will surge to 49°C inland, with lows of 27°C expected in the mountains.
