Fog and mist caused poor visibility in some parts of the country in the early hours of Friday morning, but it will make way for hot weather later. From 3.30am, visibility was reduced to less than 500 metres in coastal areas in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Umm Al Quwain and Ras Al Khaimah, the National Centre for Meteorology said. After the fog lifts, conditions are expected to be fair in general and hazy at times with a significant rise in temperatures, reaching highs of 42°C internally and 38°C on the coast. More fog is expected at night as humidity levels reach about 80 per cent. The sea will be slight to moderate in both Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman, with light to moderate winds, reaching 32kph at times. Temperatures are expected to gradually drop on Saturday and Sunday with fresh winds that will cause choppy waters in the Arabian Gulf.
