Abu Dhabi residents were greeted by another bout of thick fog on Friday morning.

Visibility was low across the capital, prompting Abu Dhabi Police to reduce speed limits to 80kph on a number of roads.

The emirate has been shrouded in fog throughout January.

People in Dubai woke to clearer skies as temperatures edge beyond 30°C in the emirate and Abu Dhabi.

The UAE will be partly cloudy on Friday with light winds expected to blow in from the Gulf.
South-easterly to north-easterly winds could reach up to 30kph at times.

The sea will be slight to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and slight in the Sea of Oman.

Forecasters say strengthening winds could blow dust into exposed areas on Saturday.
