The UAE has thanked the Kuwaiti prime minister for assurances he has made over the trial of 94 people accused of sedition in Abu Dhabi.
Two Kuwaiti citizens are among the defendants, and Sheikh Jaber Al Mubarak Al Sabah said his country would not remain silent if it found any of its people were proven to be complicit.
"Brothers in the UAE told us they suspect some Kuwaitis were involved in financing the cell, but they told us to wait until the investigations come to an end," Sheikh Jaber said, according to the state news agency Wam.
"We do not have full information but the case is being heard by the UAE court. However, should we find collaborators in this case, we will not be silent."
The 94 are charged with forming a political organisation, establishing an organisation that compromises state security and the principles on which the state is based, and having connections with foreign bodies to harm the political leadership.
The defendants belong to Al Islah, a group linked to the Muslim Brotherhood.
Wam later quoted an interview with an unidentified UAE official in the local Arabic-language daily, Al Khaleej.
The official was quoted as saying "the UAE highly appreciates Kuwait's cooperation in this case".
The next hearing of the case is scheduled for April 16.
