Indians from across the UAE gathered at the Indian Embassy in Abu Dhabi on Sunday to pay homage to the 49 soldiers who died in a terror attack in Kashmir.
The expat community showed their support for the victims of one of the most deadly incidents to be claimed by the Pakistan-backed Jaish-e-Mohammed group with candlelit vigils and prayers.
Navdeep Singh Suri, India's Ambassador to the UAE, said it was essential to "stand with the relatives and families of those soldiers who gave up their lives for the country" following the Pulwama atrocity.
