ABU DHABI // Ethical people always fulfil their promises, are always on time and deserve the love of Allah and Angel Gabriel’s praise, worshippers will hear on Friday.
“Ethical behaviour has positive effects on the individual, who reap its fruit in this life and the next,” the sermon will say.
When one exhibits such traits, they will bring the blessings of the Creator and will create a good impression and reputation before others.
The sermon cites a Hadith by the Prophet Mohammed that says that when Allah loves a person, He would announce it to Gabriel, so Gabriel loves him too and calls unto the people of the heavens: “Allah loves this person so love him.”
Thus, the people of the heavens love him too. Then Allah bestows love for that person in the hearts of people on Earth.
“He would also be successful at work, forgiving and proactive within reality, reflecting a positive image for his country,” the sermon says.
The Quran and Sunnah call for good manners and kind -behaviour in many circumstances.
“And speak kindly to mankind,” says one Quranic verse.
The Quran also addresses Prophet Mohammed, saying:
“It was by the mercy of Allah that thou wast lenient with them (O Mohammed), for if thou hadst been stern and fierce of heart, they would have dispersed from round about thee.
“So pardon them and ask forgiveness for them and consult with them upon the conduct of affairs.”
