DUBAI // The Ministry of Education is considering making changes to public school uniforms after receiving complaints from parents and students about the fabric.

The MOE tweeted earlier this week that it is in talks with its supplier — a uniform company it has contracted for the past two years — about addressing the complaints.

“The Ministry of Education is taking students’ opinions into consideration and getting feedback from the field regarding the specifications of school uniforms and studying them to turn them into reality,” the MOE tweeted. “Providing school uniforms among other student requirements is of particular importance in education and the ministry will ensure it is provided in within the highest standards and quality for the next upcoming year.”

The ministry, which oversees public schools in the Northern Emirates, said it is also in the process of offering new locations, such as cooperatives, for parents to buy school uniforms for the upcoming school year at promotional prices.
