A UAE delegation headed by Obaid Humaid Al Tayer, Minister of State for Financial Affairs, will attend the International Monetary Fund and World Bank’s semi-annual meetings, which will take place on April 17-19 in Washington D C.
The UAE delegation will discuss recent international developments and poverty eradication in developing countries.
The meetings will address a range of projects and ideas of global concern in order to support countries in strengthening their global economic outlook, development and aid effectiveness.
The meeting will also address financing and the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change that will be launched at the Paris Conference in December.
It will highlight financing policies and domestic and foreign investment with the private sector, and the goal of achieving a “zero” rate of emissions before 2100.
