UAE companies join Absher Emiratisation programme

DUBAI // Twenty public and private firms have recently joined the Government's Absher Emiratisation programme, it was announced on Monday.

The Ministry of Labour signed agreements with the 20 companies, bringing the number of its partners in the scheme to 50. Absher is designed to strengthen the participation of Emiratis in the labour market.

The memos, which will be activated on Friday, were signed by Mubarak Saeed Al Dhaheri, undersecretary at the ministry, in the presence of Humaid in Deemas Al-Suwaidi, assistant undersecretary for labour affairs, and Nasser Al Hamli, assistant undersecretary for technical office at the Ministry of Presidential Affairs.

Mr Al Dhaheri called on both government and private sectors to join the programme.

“This agreement confirms the new partners’ commitment towards integrating our development plans of enhancing UAE citizens’ participation in the private sector, which is considered an important and dynamic sector,” he said.
