Thick fog and reduced visibility on the roads again plagued the morning commute for motorists across the country today.

As drivers stepped out of their front doors, many would have been hit with the dread of fighting through another morning of murky weather to make it in to work as dense fog made for difficult road conditions.

Despite the weather conditions, no traffic collisions were reported and the nation’s airports were reducing delays to a minimum where possible.

Morning flights to India and Egypt were delayed from Abu Dhabi airport, and arrivals into Dubai from Sri Lanka faced delays, as did a departure to Kathmandu. One early morning flight to Moscow out of Dubai was cancelled, as was another to Kuwait.

Fog is expected to clear through the morning across much of the country, giving way to a bright clear day with highs of 27°C in the capital and overnight temperatures of 17°C.

It is a similar scene in Dubai and across much of the UAE, but winds are expected to increase into Thursday and could reach 35 kilometres an hour.
