Two people were killed and five others injured in a traffic accident on Emirates Road on Monday. A Dubai Police official said that the accident happened at 4.30pm between a lorry and Hyundai mini bus heading towards Sharjah. He said that two Asians, whose nationalities were not released, were killed on the spot. Three others who suffered severe injuries and two people who sustained moderate injuries were rushed to hospital. Traffic police said the the driver of the mini bus failed to leave a safe distance between him and the lorry in front, which caused the accident. The mini bus was badly damaged.
