A woman has been injured after being run over by her driving instructor.
It is believed the Filipina instructor hit the accelerator instead of the brakes outside the woman’s home in Umm Al Qaiwain on Tuesday about 3pm, police said.
Maj Obeid bin Fadhel, of UAQ Police, said rescue workers had to lift the car to free the Sudanese woman, 32, in Al Hamra.
She was taken to hospital and was being treated for her injuries, reported Al Ittihad, The National's Arabic-language sister paper.
