UAE traffic: Standstill near Dubai’s Global Village

A car flipped over on Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road in front of the Global Village, heading towards Abu Dhabi, on Thursday morning.

The incident caused traffic congestion on the side of that highway, with roads bumper-to-bumper for kilometres.

Commuters experienced a complete standstill before the road was cleared by Dubai Police at about 8.40am, the police said.
