DUBAI // Six traffic accidents in Dubai causing congestion on arterial roads were reported early on Thursday.
Two accidents were reported on Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road, or the former Emirates Road, one accident near the Dubai Mall exit and one near the World Trade Centre on Sheikh Zayed Road.
Traffic police said the roads were being cleared.
Two accidents were reported near residential areas, in the International City area and near the Emirates Hills community.
Tailbacks were reported at the Hessa Street intersection, at the Green Community and towards the Fruit and Vegetable Market.
In the capital, an accident causing traffic delays was reported on Sheikh Zayed Street towards Al Saada Street.
The traffic police warned motorists to exercise caution on the roads.
