UMM AL QUWAIN // Two Filipina women were killed and another was injured when the small bus they were travelling in hit a cement divider northbound on Al Etihad Road in UAQ.
A UAQ police source said a call was received at 5.30pm on Sunday about the incident, which involved five passengers on the bus.
“The accident occurred due to a sudden deviation, which led the bus to collide with a cement border and then deteriorate,” said the source.
“The 38 and 29-year-old ladies died at the scene and the injured woman was transferred to Sheikh Khalifa General Hospital in UAQ, while other passengers were fine.”
