Three people were injured in two separate car accidents in Dubai on Saturday.

Two vehicles crashed into each other in the first incident that happened at 6.57pm yesterday.

Dubai Police received a report of the collision that happened at the fruit and vegetable market intersection in the Al Rashidiya area.

“One car jumped the red light signal and crashed into the other vehicle,” a police spokesperson said.

Two people were rushed to a hospital, with one in critical condition.

The second accident happened at 9.09pm on Al Khawaneej road.

The motorist was severely injured after his car swerved to the left lane and then rammed into the concrete barrier.

“His car then landed in the median strip between the lanes,” said the police official.

The motorist was taken to a hospital after sustaining severe injuries.
