DUBAI // A Ramadan traffic safety campaign targeting more than 17,000 drivers has been launched by Emirates Transport.
School bus drivers and drivers working for the government and private sector are receiving texts and brochures in Arabic, English in Urdu, on the importance of taking special precautions to avoid fatigue and lack of concentration while driving during the day.
Preventative measures include getting enough sleep or taking a short nap between jobs and making sure a/c units in their vehicles are fully operational.
