More paid parking zones introduced in Abu Dhabi

Out of 3,446 spaces that were free to the public, 1,434 will now be paid parking spots.

ABU DHABI // Motorists will have to pay for parking at almost 1,500 spaces in the capital from Sunday.

Out of 3,446 spaces that were free to the public, 1,434 will now be paid parking spots, said the Department of Municipal Affairs and Transport.

These include 1,352 standard parking spots, costing Dh2 per hours, 54 premium parking spots, costing Dh3 per hour, and 28 disabled parking spaces.

The new paid parking areas will be in the Media Zone, near Khalifa Park, and around Gulf Diagnostic Hospital on Khaleej Al Arabi Street.
