Seven road projects are being studied in Sharjah, Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah, with a total budget of Dh780 million.
Dr Abdullah Belhaif Al Nuaimi, Minister of Public Works, said his ministry is studying the implementation of the road projects, according to the state news agency, Wam.
The projects include the development of the Sharjah-Al Dhaid Road, the 14-kilometre Al Ittihad Road in RAK, the extension of Emirates Road from Al Tawaeen to RAK Ring Road, the first phase of Kalba Ring Road to Al Hail, the Sham Border Ring Road and the second phase of the Khor Fakkan Western Ring Road.
Road projects are crucial to economic growth and social welfare, said Dr Al Nuaimi.
