He paid tribute as ministry employees joined forces with members of the public to take part in the Feed and Reap initiative, in which 1,500 iftar meals were distributed to drivers travelling between Abu Dhabi and Al Ain.

The scheme is organised with the support of Abu Dhabi Police, who are eager to slash the number of accidents that occur during the traditional iftar rush, when motorists pack the roads on their way home or to eateries to get sustenance.
