DUBAI // A total of 400 motorcyclists were given lessons in road safety and traffic laws at a conference organised by Dubai’s traffic police.
Colonel Saif Muhair Al Mazrouei, deputy director of the General Traffic Directorate at Dubai Police, said that failure to abide by traffic laws and regulations, driving any vehicle that does not meet traffic-safety requirements and lack of knowledge of traffic rules and etiquette is not only dangerous for them but for other road users.
He stressed the need to raise road-safety awareness among bikers and educate them on the importance of adhering to traffic rules.
Lectures at the conference focused on traffic safety and requirements for motorcycle users, preventive measures for all road users, road dangers linked to motorcycles, violations committed by bikers and must-have safety requirements.
The conference was organised in cooperation with Dubai Media Incorporated and Tawseel.
