Fujairah Police have launched an online traffic service that allows the issue and renewal of driving licences, and the ability to check applicants’ criminal records. Brig Mohammed Al Kaabi, Chief of Fujairah Police, said the launch of these services were in line with the UAE strategy of shifting into a smart government to allow citizens and residents to receive any needed service online. He added that the Ministry of Interior was working hard to shift all of its services online with the goal of saving customers time and offering the best-quality services in the UAE.

Ziina users can donate to relief efforts in Beirut
Ziina users will be able to use the app to help relief efforts in Beirut, which has been left reeling after an August blast caused an estimated $15 billion in damage and left thousands homeless. Ziina has partnered with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees to raise money for the Lebanese capital, co-founder Faisal Toukan says. “As of October 1, the UNHCR has the first certified badge on Ziina and is automatically part of user's top friends' list during this campaign. Users can now donate any amount to the Beirut relief with two clicks. The money raised will go towards rebuilding houses for the families that were impacted by the explosion.”

“If it’s a rental property, plan for the property to have periods when it does not have a tenant. Ensure you have enough cash set aside to pay the mortgage and other costs during these periods, ideally at least six months,” she says.
